DVD
of Soay Sheep on St. Kilda
Only film available of the Sheep on St. Kilda
SOAY Sheep on the Island at
the Edge of the World

dvdphoto.jpg (63834 bytes)

22 minutes packed with pictures and facts about the oldest type of sheep in the world and the remote, stunningly beautiful North Atlantic islands they come from – St Kilda.

Soay sheep date back to the late Neolithic Period, the time when man first started to tend plants and keep animals.  Today these fascinating animals are providing scientists with fresh insights into the on-going operation of Darwinian natural selection and evolutionary genetics.

St Kilda is one of only twenty-four places in the world designated a World Heritage Site twice over – as a Site of Outstanding Historic Importance and as A Nature Reserve of World Stature.

Directed and written by winner of many international programme awards – Michael Darlow.
